WHAT'S HAPPENING SCOTLAND COUNTY!

Laurinburg-Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce Director Chris English shares information on some upcoming events in the county!

Friday: The Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting for its newest member The Learning Playtime Spot at 3:30 p.m. The new business provides extra social-emotional and cognitive support for 3 to 5-year-olds through play.

Also, Friday is the movie night at the Laurel Hill Community Center. The movie will be Air Bud with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the movie beginning at 6 p.m.

Saturday: At 3 p.m. is the inaugural Black History Parade in downtown. The parade starts at the red light on North Main Street by Bright Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. For information or to sign up by calling 910-384-6660 or 910-706-1982.

Ongoing: Scotland County Parks and Recreation has its spring sports sign-up going on until March 10. Sign sups are for softball, baseball and t-ball, for more information contact 910-277-2589.
