There were four gas stations in cities across Scotland County selling regular gas at the lowest price of $2.84 per gallon in the week ending Feb. 15, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.com.

The average reported cost of regular gas in cities within Scotland County was $2.85 per gallon.

Of the 31 reported gas stations in cities within Scotland County, seven offer regular gas.

The average reported price of regular gas in North Carolina was $2.87, compared to $2.90 the week before.

Drivers across the U.S. have faced a rollercoaster of gas prices in recent months and years. Though the cost of a gallon of gas is dropping, experts suggest they may rise to $4 before the end of 2024.
