On Saturday, March 8, former South Columbus High School standout Alanna Deal’s current college team, the USC Upstate Spartans, lost 9-6 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Stetson Hatters.

The game took place at Patricia Wilson Field. This was their second matchup against the Hatters this season.

The Upstate Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12 at 2 p.m. at Cyrill Stadium against South Dakota Coyotes.
