Former Lumberton High School standout Charlie Miller played a pivotal role as his current team, the Northern Michigan Wildcats, edged out the Rockhurst Hawks 86-85 in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 14.
The game, held at 7:30 p.m. in Alumni Arena, marked the team’s initial tournament encounter with the Rockhurst Hawks.
Northern Michigan is set for its next tournament game on Sunday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m., again at Alumni Arena.
