The City of Lumberton has released its 2026 holiday schedule, detailing the days when city offices will be closed for public holidays. According to the announcement, certain essential services may continue to operate on their usual or adjusted schedules during these periods. The city will provide additional updates for specific services as needed.

The scheduled closures for 2026 are as follows: New Year’s Day on Thursday, January 1; Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 19; Good Friday on Friday, April 3; Memorial Day on Monday, May 25; Juneteenth on Friday, June 19; Independence Day on Friday, July 3; Labor Day on Monday, September 7; Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 11; Thanksgiving from Thursday to Friday, November 26–27; and Christmas from Thursday to Friday and the following Monday—December 24–25 and December 28.

Residents are encouraged to check for further service-specific information closer to each holiday.
