Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at St Andrews University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

North Carolina students paid $26,648 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $774 more than the $25,874 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 191 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.6 million and 149 students took out student loans totaling more than $955,471.

Including all undergraduates (683), 513 students used grants or scholarships totaling $8.3 million, and 435 students took out $2.7 million in federal student loans.
