Lumbee Tribal Members, do you need cooling assistance? On Monday, May 16, 2022, our Department of Energy will begin accepting applications for the Cooling Assistance Program. The Low Income Household Cooling Assistance Program (LIHCAP) will provide cooling assistance to low-income households throughout the tribal territory. The program will end on July 8, 2022. Applications for the Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) are still being accepted also.

Program staff members will work with applicants by phone and email to process applications. Completed applications may be emailed to energy@lumbeetribe.com. Completed applications may also be delivered to the white drop-box at the Lumbee Tribal Office at 6984 NC 711 West, Pembroke, NC 28372. Applications are taken daily from 9 am- 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
