Men’s health fair at NexusPark offers free screenings and educational sessions

A men’s health and wellness fair is scheduled to take place at NexusPark on October 25, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at Entrance 3 and is open to families, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

Attendees will have access to free prostate and hernia screenings. Registration for these screenings is required by calling 812.376.5136 or emailing the provided address. Each completed screening offers a chance to win prizes.

The fair will also feature demonstrations of the new CRH DaVinci Surgical Robot in collaboration with the Columbus Robotics Team. Visitors can participate in interactive activities such as the “Surgery Sam” game and learn CPR from EMS staff. The Healthy Communities Team will provide information on the effects of smoking.

Several sessions led by CRH surgeons and specialists are planned throughout the morning:
– At 9:15 a.m., Cory Banaschak, MD from CRH General Surgery, will discuss robotic hernia repair and colon cancer awareness.
– At 10:00 a.m., Ryan Zipper, MD from CRH Urology, will present on prostate cancer awareness.
– At 10:45 a.m., Nadeem Ikhlaque, MD from CRH Cancer Center, will cover lung cancer.
– At 11:15 a.m., Justin Lee, MD from CRH Weightloss Institute, will speak about robotic bariatric surgery.

Food and drink vendors such as Dirty Dough, Columbus Nutrition, and JavaGoat Coffee will be present at the event. There will also be opportunities for attendees to make memories at the CRH photobooth.

The organizers encourage community members to bring important men in their lives to this family-friendly gathering focused on health education and wellness resources.
