TOWN OF BLADENBORO: COVID 19 Utility Account Notice

Town of Bladenboro recently issued the following announcement. 

NOTICE TO UTILITY CUSOMERS

  • Residential utility account disconnections for non-payment are suspended for the months of April and May 2020.
  • Late and Delinquency Fees will not be imposed for the months of April and May, 2020 for non-payment.
  • Monthly utility charges for services will continue to be billed as normal each month.
  • We ask that utility customers pay as much as they can afford over the next 60 days.
  • June 2020 - disconnects and late/delinquency fees will resume (unless otherwise posted).
  • Utility Customers with delinquent accounts in June will be set up on a payment plan (up to 6 months financing with 0% interest) to assist in bringing those accounts back to good standing. The financed amounts will be due along with the regular service billing each month until paid off.
  • Any utility accounts which were cut off for non-payment prior to March 31, 2020 may be reconnected if the account still has an active deposit on file and the account has not been closed.
