Fayetteville State University employee Emily Oshita donates $210 to Elizabeth Warren's campaign

Emily Oshita, an employee at Fayetteville State University, donated $210 to Democratic Party candidate Elizabeth Warren, according to the Federal Election Commission.

According to records, there have been $1,156 in campaign contributions made by individuals affiliated with Fayetteville State University as of November 3. All of these contributions were made to Democratic Party candidates and committees.

Wendell Phillips' contribution of $800 to Democratic Party Alma Shealey Adams was the largest contribution made by someone affiliated with Fayetteville State University since January 1, 2019.

According to an Inside Higher Ed analysis of federal elections data, individuals that were affiliated with colleges and universities have donated five times more money to Joe Biden than to President Trump. A study by Pew Research in 2017 found that 58 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents thought colleges and universities have a negative impact on the way things are going in this country.
