City of Whiteville, NC issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.
Notice is hereby given that the City of Whiteville Planning Board will hold their regular scheduled meeting on Monday, September 13th, 2021 at 12:30 PM or soon thereafter at 317 S. Madison St. in Whiteville. The meeting date has been changed due to the Labor Day Holiday on September 6th, 2021. The Planning Board will discuss appointing a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and renewal of member terms.
Planning Board meetings will be in a virtual format (Microsoft Teams) to comply with social distancing guidelines and prevent the spread of COVID-19. The virtual meeting will be broadcast for viewing by the public via the City’s webpage, https://whitevillenc.gov . Members of the public may submit written comments by emailing the comments to rlewis@ci.whiteville.nc.us . Written public comments must be received twenty-four (24) hours prior to the meeting. Viewers may submit comments via the Q&A function located inside the Microsoft Teams application. If you would like to show a presentation while you speak, the electronic file must be provided to staff for screening no later than 5:00 P.M. on the Friday before the meeting. The City urges members of the public to remain at home and practice social distancing
