Columbus Chamber of Commerce & Tourism recently issued the following announcement.
The sweet potato takes center stage at the North Carolina Yam Festival at Tabor City, held annually the fourth weekend of October since 1986 in this southern Columbus County town near the South Carolina border.
Everyone has a yam good time with plenty to see and do, ranging from the festival parade to festival pageant.
