Robeson Community College would like to extend congratulations to its students who competed in the SkillsUSA North Carolina State Leadership and Skills Conference in Greensboro this week.
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry working together to ensure that America has a skilled workforce. The mission of the organization is to empower its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens.
The competition was fierce this year, with over 2,500 High School, Middle School and Postsecondary students competing in over 120 different skills and leadership contests.
Ten students represented RCC well during the event, including cosmetology students Celeste Rosas, Tiffiney Hunt, Latoria Locklear, Jaeyln Deese, Sammie Strickland, and Emily Scott; Industrial students Allan Inestroza, Jonathan Gabino, Lydia Woods, and Virgil Lowery.

1st Place – Allan Inestroza and Jonathan Gabino
Allan Inestroza and Jonathan Gabino will move on to the National SkillsUSA Competition in Atlanta, Georgia, which will take place June 20-25.

5th Place – Virgil Lowery
