Update: This issue has now been resolved.
The state 9-1-1 system is currently experiencing issues with 9-1-1 call routing. If Scotland County citizens call 9-1-1, they may reach another county in North Carolina, however your information will still be taken and sent to our 9-1-1 center in Scotland County. This may cause a minor delay, but we do not expect any major delays.
The state's Network Monitoring and Assistance Center (NMAC) is working to identify and mitigate the issue as quickly as possible. We will update the public as more information becomes available.
