2021 has 6.7% of Robeson County residents unemployed

Robeson County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,133 people out of the 118,836 living in Robeson County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Robeson County has decreased compared to the 7.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Robeson County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.2%.

Of the 43,908 people who had a job during that time, 118 were employed in the Armed Forces and 43,790 belonged to the civilian labor force.
