City of Whiteville recently issued the following announcement.
Whiteville City Schools Child Nutrition Services has established two additional sites where parents may pick up free school meals for children and young adults through age 18. Definite plans for lesson distribution are also in place.
On Monday WCS announced the following sites:
Whiteville Parks and Recreation Center (breakfast from 9:00am – 10:00am and lunch from 12:00pm – 1:00pm),
Bolton Safe Haven (March 18 and beyond; lunch only from 12:00pm – 1:00pm), as well as drop off sites to be determined in the community.
As already reported, WCS Child Nutrition will operate a central site at Central Middle School for all days of school closure beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17. Breakfast will be served at Central Middle School from 8:00am-10:00am and lunch from 11:00am until 1:00pm. This will be for pick up and to-go eat only.
