City of Whiteville issued the following announcement on Nov. 9.
The City of Whiteville announced a water main break on South Madison Street Monday morning, November 9. Service may be affected from Talbot Street to Fraizer Street, according to an alert from the city.
“Crews are performing emergency repairs to restore service as soon as possible,” the alert stated. “Updates will be given when water is restored.”
