Sheriff McVicker was asked to visit Elizabethtown Christian Academy to talk about some of the responsibilities of the Sheriff and the Sheriff’s Office. Capt. Jeff Singletary and Cpl. Owen Peavy were also there to answer questions. Cpl. Peavy showed the 1st graders his patrol car and explained all the many buttons and what they do.
Sheriff McVicker would like all children to know that deputy sheriff’s are here to serve and protect them. If they are ever in trouble they can ask a deputy sheriff for help.
