Town of Elizabethtown issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.
The public will take notice that the Elizabethtown Town Council will be conducting a Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021 for an amendment to the Code of Ordinances. The ordinance amendment will be for the Truck Route, Chapter 70, Section 70.51 Routes, adding new item (E).
With the Town Council meeting being a Virtual Meeting, written comments from the public for the Public Hearing may be made by submitting the comments to Town Clerk Juanita Hester via email – jhester@elizabethtownnc.org or by placing the written comments in an envelope appropriately marked and left in the Town’s Drive-through Drop-Box. Written comments may be submitted at any time between the Notice of Public Hearing and 24 hours after the public hearing. Action on this Virtual Meeting agenda item will take place at the October 5, 2021 Special Called Town Council Meeting.
